Michael Welty, CPA – President and CEO

As President and CEO, Michael provides strategic direction to Utonomy and actively manages day-to-day operations.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as Chief Financial Officer for a number of Utonomy customers. He has over 25 years experience in accounting, finance, taxation, and organizational development. He has served in a finance-related capacity for Hewlett Packard Company and American Express, and worked as an audit manager in the New York and Sacramento offices for Ernst & Young, LLP.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with an accounting concentration, from the California State University in Sacramento.
Brenda Paredes – Chief Operating Officer

Brenda serves as an accountant for various Utonomy clients and is also Utonomy’s Chief Operating Officer. She has eight years of experience working at non-profit organizations in varying administrative, management, and financial roles. She has a strong passion for helping those in her local community, and especially enjoys serving her diverse client base.
Brenda earned a bookkeeping certificate in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in Mass Communication and a Master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in Instructional Communication.
Rachel Menaugh, CPA

Rachel is a Certified Public Accountant and began working with Utonomy in 2014. Rachel started her career in public accounting, focusing on financial institutions, manufacturing and non-profits. Today she enjoys serving in managerial accounting positions for Utonomy non-profit and for-profit clients. Rachel is also CFO/co-owner of Flame & Fire, Brazilian Steakhouse in Roseville and serves on the Smile4Life Foundation’s Board of Directors as Treasurer.
Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in accounting and finance, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Stephanie Moulton – Senior Accountant

Stephanie has been working for Utonomy since 2008 and has assisted a vast array of clients with restructuring their financial systems. In additional to adding an innovative touch to her clients’ accounting departments, Stephanie also serves in a managerial accounting role and has experience mentoring and training staff.
Stephanie holds an associates degree in accounting and continues to work towards her bachelor’s degree, with an ultimate goal of obtaining her CPA license.
Sara Lee – Accountant

Sara serves as an accountant for various Utonomy clients. She has over five years of experience in administrative and accounting roles. Sara’s business roles have been versatile, and they include prior experience providing incorporation services for businesses in the Sacramento region. Sara is dedicated to helping others achieve success, and she embodies this attitude at each of her clients.
Sara is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at DeVry University.
Tamoya Bell – Accountant

Tamoya serves as an accountant for various Utonomy clients. She is an innovative and driven professional with over five years of administrative and accounting experience. Tamoya has strong interpersonal skills and strives to learn new ways to increase efficiency at her clients. She has a passion for helping clients succeed and build organizational stability.
Tamoya has a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration of Economics and continues to further her knowledge towards obtaining various licenses including a CPA license.
Sara Becker – Customer Billing/Office Administrator
“I respect others, and their time; therefore, my goal is to maintain a high standard of accuracy in my work to keep everyone around me fluid and looking their best. The stronger we are individually; the more successful we are as a team.”
Sara processes customer billing and performs a wide variety of duties keeping the Utonomy office organized and supported. She has been with the company since its inception, and began while simultaneously working as a public relations consultant. Her current passion is teaching martial arts to children and pursuing her third degree black belt in Karate.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from California State University, Sacramento.
